Alpine Experiences Crafted for the Curious

Crapahuter curates guided mountain experiences in the Swiss Alps designed for people who want more than a standard hike. Whether you dream of completing a legendary multi-day traverse, discovering hidden valleys unknown to most visitors, or sitting down to a raclette prepared by an artisan shepherd at 2,000 metres — you will find it here.

Every experience is led personally by Matthieu, a passionate mountain guide based in the Valais. Small groups, deep local knowledge, and a genuine commitment to slow travel are the core of what Crapahuter offers.

What Kind of Alpine Experience Are You Looking For?

Classics — Tackle the great trails of the Alps: the Chamonix–Zermatt traverse, the Tour du Wildhorn, or the Via Alpina. These iconic multi-day routes are supported with full logistics, accommodation booking, and a personal guide.

Originals — Go beyond the guidebooks. The Sanetsch Pass, Val d’Anniviers, and Val d’Hérens are spectacular valleys that remain largely undiscovered — ideal for those who want solitude, stunning scenery, and a true sense of exploration.

Terroir — Slow down and eat well. Crapahuter’s Terroir experiences combine hiking with authentic encounters: a lunch at a mountain farm, a visit to a goat cheese producer in Grimisuat, or a guided tasting through the terraced vineyards of Valais.
