General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

1. Purpose

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern the contractual relationship between [Your company name or your name] (hereinafter referred to as “the Provider”) and any individual or entity wishing to use its services (hereinafter referred to as “the Client”). This agreement is concluded upon mutual agreement on its main terms, either formalized orally or in writing.

2. Services offered

The Provider offers a variety of mountain-related activities, including:

  • Guided hikes: day trips or multi-day excursions.
  • Premium treks: off-the-beaten-path immersive experiences with tailored options.
  • Mountain sports: trail running and e-bike outings adapted to various skill levels.
  • Gastronomic and cultural experiences: discovering Alpine terroir and themed activities.
  • Navigation and trip-planning training: learning orientation tools and itinerary preparation.

3. Program modification

Services are carried out regardless of weather conditions, except in cases of force majeure. The guide reserves the right to modify the program for safety reasons, based on:

  • Snow or weather conditions.
  • The participants’ skill levels.
  • Other factors impacting the group’s safety.
In cases of entirely unfavorable conditions, only the guide may decide to cancel or postpone the service.

4. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation by the Client:

  • More than 30 days before the service: full refund.
  • Between 30 and 15 days before: 50% of the total amount is due.
  • Less than 15 days before: 100% of the total amount is due.

We strongly recommend subscribing to cancellation insurance, such as the TCS ETI booklet.

Cancellation by the Provider:

  • If conditions require cancellation (e.g., adverse weather, technical issues), an alternative or a full refund will be offered.

5. Pricing and payment terms

  • Prices include only the services specified in the offer. Transportation, accommodation, meals, or equipment rental costs are not included unless otherwise stated.
  • Payments can be made via bank transfer or credit card.
  • A deposit of 50% is required to confirm the booking, with the remaining balance due 30 days before the service.

6. Insurance

  • Participants must have their own accident insurance covering mountain rescue services (including helicopter evacuation).
  • EU and EFTA citizens are encouraged to carry their European Health Insurance Card.
  • Cancellation insurance is highly recommended to cover costs in case of unforeseen circumstances.

7. Liability

  • The Provider is committed to leading activities professionally and in compliance with safety regulations. However, the Provider cannot be held responsible:
    • In the event of accidents or injuries.
    • For adverse weather conditions.
    • For equipment failures or mechanical lift breakdowns.
  • By confirming their booking, the Client explicitly acknowledges and accepts the inherent risks of mountain activities.

8. Equipment and physical condition

  • The Client must ensure they have the required equipment (a list will be provided) and adequate physical fitness for the chosen service.
  • The guide reserves the right to exclude any participant failing to meet these requirements, with no refund provided.

9. Transportation and meals

  • The Client is traditionally responsible for covering the guide’s transportation and meal expenses unless otherwise specified in the offer.

10. Image rights

  • The Provider may use photos or videos taken during activities for promotional purposes. Participants may object in writing before the activity begins.

11. Jurisdiction

  • In case of disputes, the place of jurisdiction is Sion, and Swiss law applies, regardless of the parties’ nationality.
